Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any 512b sector storage device (128gb, 256gb, 512gb, 1024gb, etc) should be ideal for any Unix core device such as a Playstation, Xbox, Video Capture interface, etc.. As to the upgrade process and procedure however, no one but Sony and console hackers will be able to tell you the best performing or most compatible. Most newer devices should be able to work with 4k sector drives (120gb, 250, 500gb, etc) given that many drive manufacturers are migrating away from 512b media and the device manufacturers have no choice.. but this 512gb should work without issue.. Not to get too technical, but most incompatibility will come from the interface type inside the drive itself.. NAND, SLC, etc.. So checking with the console hacking community should give you the correct choice, and likely selection of drives.. Assuming the right drive, it should not be more than ghosting (cloning) the drives with software, but again check with those who have done it for procedure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it would work. Given how much space the games take up nowadays you should opt for a larger 1TB ssd. Good luck!
