• A) most likely not, the storage *may* be in a different form factor, open it first to see what storage you may have. B) It's just the drive, you'll want to get a lil' dock for it to do that.

• I installed mine on a Dell Latitude laptop originally running Win7. As long as you're replacing an actual hard drive you should be good. It does not come with any cables. Used Applian drive imager (purchased from Best Buy) to image the new drive.
