Yes you can use this with the PS4 and the system itself can handle formatting however make sure you have a USB drive as you will need that to install the system software from the PS4 onto the drive. There are a lot of easy YouTube tutorials you can follow as well but the overall process is easy I would say a 3/10 for difficulty. Sony’s website also has a walkthrough on how to change the HDD in the PS4

In order to know if the PS4 has an internal 2.5" SATA slot, it would be best to contact Sony Customer Support as they would have all the technical specifications for PS4.
