• The best way to find the answer to this question is to go to HP's support page, enter the service code, model number etc., and download the manuals for it and find out what kind of storage it has. They most likely aren't compatible and if that's the case maybe you can get a usb thumb drive or memory card for extra storage. Hope this helps..

• As long as the connector is SATA III which most are now days, There are new SSD drives coming out with PCIe 3.0 . Most likely and the most common is the SATA III which is what you probably need but You need to read the specifications of your chrome book and the hard drive you want.
