• Yes, as long as your router supports file shares from its usb port and the flash drive is formatted in a way that your router will recognize it (check router user guide).

• I think you will be fine. I have one that has music on it and have it plugged into my car. It goes through extreme temperatures and has be to read every time I start the car. It has been 2 years and it still works fine.

• That is a little more complicated than just plug and play. If you have the router to plug the flash drive into and it has drive networking capability, you should be fine. My drive came formatted as a FAT32 drive. Sometimes, routers require other formats so you would just have to check on your router's capabilities.
