I used it with my Samsung Galaxy Prime (J727) cell phone, so it should work with yours

you need a dual drive with a USB "C" -port for Samsung galaxy 8

This is compatible with micro usb and usb. Make sure your galaxy 8 isn't a C connection, this won't work with a C. They do have others that are made for the newer C connectors on phones and tables.

Yes you can but you need to have the usb connector that came with the original s8 kit.
