Hi This usb drive is designed to work with computers or devices which can accept a USB TYPE A or C connector Your Samsung S8 active cellphone can only accept microSD card with upto 256 GB storage limit Hope this helps

I don't think that the two are compatible, the openings are different sizes. The opening on a 8 are smaller than that of a 9. (We have both phones.)

I believe the active is usb-c which will fit.
