Yes, I installed one in my Garmin nüvi 2555 and it works fine.

Look at the owner's manual or go online. If your device has an micro SDHC slot and can take 8 gigs or over, it will work. The device has to be rated to take at least an 8 gig micro. If it only fits 8 and you try to use a 16 or 32, it is like trying to put 10 pounds of apples in a 5 pound bag.

It worked fine in my Garvin 3140

If your device accepts a mini sd card, it should work as long as the device recognizes that much memory (note: some older devices may not be able to recognize more than 4gb)...
