You can use the drive to store and access files like photos, videos, documents, and free up iPad storage by moving content off the device, but games installed through the App Store must remain on the iPad’s internal storage. If your goal is to free up space for games, you can transfer large files to this drive and delete them from the iPad after taking a backup.
