- Answer As long as the phone has a USB type C as the charger port, it will work just fine. I use it with my Galaxy S21. The app can be a little confusing. But other than that it's great to free up space and store files off your device... Or keeping it off the cloud. If your looking to do that, this is perfect and I would highly recommend it. It has the USB type C, and a standard "old" USB. I know this is not a review. But I give it 6 stars.

- Answer It depends I assume you don't have an iPhone or you wouldn't be asking in regards to a device that doesn't have an apple connector you will need an app to export your sms messages to a text file and specify the flash drive as the location to save the file

Whether you have a C (rounded) or Octagonal port, or an iphone, you need to match the type exactly to the type of drive you purchase. This drive works well for recent android phones. The LGK20V port online looks like the octagonal size, not a C drive.
