• It is FAT32 out of the box, but I suppose you could change it to whatever you like.

• yes the drive comes pre-formatted as FAT32. if you want to transfer files larger than 4GB then you will need to re-format NTSF.

• The file system can be whatever you select in Windows but I believe the default is FAT 32 from Sandisk. You can reformat to be exFAT or NTFS if you need to copy files over larger than 2 GB.
