• It can as it is FAT32 file format. Be aware it is USB-A connector so if your Chromebook is only USB-C you might need an adaptor.

• I use mine on a dell 32gb note book and sey it as new save drive for storage anf apps and it foes the hob done but does heat up pretty fast.

• It does work with my Acer R11 for storage, but if you're looking for App storage, it's not quite enabled in the system as of yet. But for storing music files and whatnot, it's worthwhile. But it does get hot.

• Chromebooks do permit the use of USB storage devices for general file saving and viewing permitted the file type can be interpreted by your Chromebook (it has the right application for the file type.)
