You can use it to make your Chrome Recovery media, if you haven't yet, that you will need to restore the Chrome OS should you actually replace the small ssd. This is an external flash drive, and is supposed to be plugged into your USB slot, not installed internally in the computer. Also, most Chromebooks do not have the option to change the SSD, but you should check and do research on your model.
