• You can format it as exFAT which will work on both, or partition it one for Windows, and one for Mac.

• If you keep the drive's original format (FAT16, I believe), you can use it on both Windows and MacOS.

• If the file or data types are usable on both a Windows machine and a Mac machine in our formatted properly they would be usable on any USB slot

• As long as it is left formatted "FAT32" and not reformatted for "NTFS".
