I have 2 Pavilion Laptop's. One has the AMD CPU, the other has the Intel I5 CPU. I use the HD that came with the computer as the "D" drive and just store the Data, I use the SSD drive as the "C" drive and put all the programs on it. I have both of them like that. Right now I don't use the one with the Intel CPU, because the CPU has EEProm memory, and there is a Malware loaded on it, that can't be removed. If you have an HP Pavilion dv7-4000 series with the Intel CPU. The Malware virus can identify the person that gave it to me, with his IP address. The Port that was left open is 060. If you can write in machine language it's easy to remove. Intel and Microsoft did this to install key code's, so people would not steal there software. When Intel found out that a virus could be loaded, they told 5 company that make laptops to close that port by shorting them to the ground plane. 4 company's did except HP. That's the reason that the 4000 series is the only ones. You can see the series by removing the battery. HP say's to throw away the computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have HP pavilion and it was compatible with my computer. I have windows 10 and i7!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should fit any standard laptop's hard drive bay. Just remove the screws and the old hard drive from the cage and install the new one and you're all set to install your OS!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive should work in any laptop that currently has a 2.5 inch drive. It will work in computers that use a 3.5 inch drive with an adapter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.as long as your laptop has a SATA hard drive in it. Which is a regular laptop hard drive. This is a 7mm thick drive with a plastic plate to expand it to 9mm (which was the previous thickeness of laptop drives). Utlrabooks these days may have a SATA drive or an M2 drive. The best way to know if it will work is to google your model number of computer with the words "installing an ssd drive in ....." Then you will hopefully find instructions and video on how to do this in your computer. Another way to find out if it will fit in your computer is to go to Windows - Control Panel - Device Manager. Look for the model number of your Disk Drive you have installed. Google your existing drives model number. You will be able to tell if it's a SATA drive. Then this drive should fit. I use Acronis to copy my old drives to a new drive when using Windows. I use SuperDuper on the mac to clone. I clone by keeping the new SSD connected via a USB cable to SATA adapter and clone it. once it's done succesfully i will swap the drives out. On the mac, i use the same method but once it's cloned i will then hold down the command key during a boot and boot from the external SSD drive to ensure the cloning worked. After that I'll swap the drive out.
