I replaced my standard HDD with this SanDisk Flash Storage SSD the boot time and performance of this upgrade were amazing, took a mediocre laptop and turned it into a well performing machine! The plus side of this SSD is it is a product of Western Digital, which being in the IT Profession has proven to be the best quality HD's on the market. This also comes with an available SanDisk Dashboard that keeps you up to date with performance, space utilized and life (health) of the SSD. Great purchase!

This is actually my second one I have. I am currently using it in raid 0 in my rig. With its performance just under the Extreme edition the Ultra II is perfect for price to performance. SanDisk also offers a great warranty and the customer support is easy to work with. This Harddrive is perfect whether you are just out for Performance in gaming or just every day use. Even for businesses, your harddrive is usually your bottle neck in performance and if it is slow you are wasting time and money. I have uploaded pictures of the places I have used them. The drive seems to work fine, but the installation on the Samsung SSDs went smoother.

It was recommended that I get a solid-state rather than my previous system. Great advice and great performance.

Upgrading your hard drive might be overlooked when your trying to get more performance out of your machine, my hard disk was clicking very loud after my HP laptop substantiated a fall while it was on. The sandisk ultra II solid state 480 fit right in and it feels like I went out and bought a whole new computer. The boot time is at least 66% faster, but that's not all. The applications load sooo much faster, file moving is crazy fast, opening up itunes happens in a flash. I didn't really think this computer would have been worth the upgrade, as it's 13 months old but it was by far one of the best upgrades I've ever done. Skip the ram upgrade if you don't really need it, you WILL notice results with this solid state.

Tremendous Boost in Speed

Great value in my opinion. No other single component has given me the speed increase that upgrading to SSHD has...period. When I saw this unit on sale I made a decision to move forward. Fast boot up, no noise "at all" and moving into what will likely soon be standard equipment I am happy with my choice with no regrets. I purchased another for my less than 1 year old laptop which has the added benefit of extending battery run time. The older hard drives appear stone age with moving parts that require additional power, generate more heat, make noise and are slower. I'm sure someone more tech savvy than myself could point out both pros and cons but I'm more than happy with my choice.

After upgrading to Windows 10 my regular disk would suddenly fail to boot. Twice I had to do a re-install (corrupted boot sectors each time). When it happened a third time I gave up and went and got this SSD instead (the old drive is probably 4 years old now). So far this drive has been reliable. The boot time is so much quicker now, just under 30 seconds and I'm fully booted into Windows 10. As for my older drive it still works as a mounted (non-boot) drive and my files are all still there. But you can really hear the difference, no sound when booting with the SSD. The moment I access the old mounted drive you can hear it "motor up" and reminds me of how it used to sound before I got the SSD. So far I am very satisfied with this drive.

I purchased this for my mid 2010 macbook pro. It was taking long time to boot up (3minutes). Now it only takes about 26 seconds to completely boot up. Faster response with programs. I dont need to replace my macbook after this upgrade. Wish i would have done this a long time ago. Installing hard drive was simple for my year macbook pro. Steps to install were found on internet.

Works very well. Obviously this is not one of the super fancy Samsung ones but it does the job well. My boot time on my HP probook was 2:00 then when replaced with the SSD boot time was 20 seconds. Very good for people who are just looking for an upgrade for a more reliable and faster solution compared to traditional HDD.

Added this drive to my laptop which already had a SSD as its primary. Adding storage with the same medium has been totally transparent. It went in without a hitch. Total install took maybe a minute or two. everything worked perfect the first time. My laptop still screams and now has plenty of storage.

I was looking to build a new media server. Didn't want to go through the ordeal of building from scratch, so I bought an off-the-shelf PC from Best Buy. Not having Bill Gates money, I opted for a cheaper model, knowing I would upgrade with an SSD drive already. I already use SSD drives in my laptop and in the media server being replaced, so I expected high prices for the amount of storage I wanted. Well I was disappointed, and in an AWESOME way.
I lucked out and got it at about half-price in-store, but after using it for this long, I would have gladly paid full-price. Not only super-fast to handle the multi-threading operations and applications (Computer Science student, who is also doing virtual modeling of neural networks) this thing is large enough to handle my cloud-synched files without worrying about which folders to ignore.
If you've read this far, my recommendation is to get this drive. Just do it; you won't be sorry.

I've always wanted to reduce the bottleneck of my fast PCs. Finally the price for a SSD makes it a great deal. As such I run a new Intel I7-4790 at 3.6GHz, and 32 GB Ram, and very fast graphics card. The only weak link was a mechanical hard drive. After buying this item from Best Buy, I knew well enough that it did not come with a SATA cable, so I found one on the shelf. It only took and a couple of hours from install to cloning over my hard drive to the new drive! Now, there is no wait for anything anymore. My PC boots up in less than 20 seconds! And opening programs feels like they are already preloaded in RAM. I kep the operating system in tact on the 2 TB drive, and use it for back up storage.

I caught this drive on sale. SanDisk has a really good product here. Fast, lightweight and easy to install. This drive will open up a whole new level of speed and performance especially if you're coming from a mechanical hard drive.

Installed the SSD in my elderly Dell tower (XPS 430) with no problems. Since it was a tower, I had plenty of SATA and power cables to work with so it was a snap. Didn't need any adapters, just "hung" the SSD on spare cables. Used my Acronis True Image 2016 to copy my original C drive over to the SSD. Once it was finished, I rebooted the computer and changed the boot order so the SSD was first in line and everything worked. Definite improvement in speed although not as much as I had hoped for. I guess you can only push the old system so far. Still, I think it was a very worthwhile investment.

I bought this to replace the old hard drive in my 2009 MacBook Pro. It installed easily, formatted quickly, and the OS install went well. It's quiet and fast. I do believe I get a little more battery life too.

The specifications on this drive don't lie, output is on par for an SSD in this tier, For the price point as well as the cachet of the Sandisk brand, this is the SSD to get!
This SSD is slim and comes with a spacer if you need it. I used this is a late 2011 Macbook Pro. Boot times for both OSX as well as Windows 10 in the boot camp partition is extremely fast. All other applications open quickly as well. It was by far the quickest installation of OS X and Windows 10 I've ever had. The only drawback? I can't go back to mechanical drives, too slow! lol This drive will satisfy.
