This hard drive is super fast and so far super reliable I'm editing video through an external USB 3.0 connection and it is blazingly quick much faster than just a regular Internal Sata Drive

I haven't done speed tests, but the laptop boots much faster and doesn't have random lags using applications. This was my first ssd upgrade, and now I'm considering upgrading other systems

Installed this in my 2011 Macbook Pro after the original HD crashed. It was super easy and so I am in awe with how fast the startup and functionality is now!!! Highly recommend this SSD!

for a little effort you computer will run wicked fast. No serious effort or tech knowledge needed for a major improvement. Plus us add reliability , not sensitive to vibration.

I built a Bare Metal Linux MacPro image on the SanDisk 480GB Drive. Now my 2013 MacPro is running Linux.. VMware no longer required. So far I have lightning fast 5 second boot times. My applications load up quick. No errors. SWAP and /tmp are all on my data drives to minimized writes to the SSD. I've got my /home /opt /usr/local/bin and other data files all on a JBOD with 4 1TB FireCuda drives. The SanDISK drive is for my OS only. So far no regrets. Let's see how stable it is 3 years from now. Backup strategy is a binary copy to an unmounted ESATA in my thunderbolt ESATA Dock.

Bought this drive to replace 1 TB drive in a Dell Computer. Pros: It's 480Gigs which is more than enough for a boot drive, running program and storing most of my games. The seek time is great for finding and loading programs. Machine boots much faster, less than 10-15 seconds. Cons: It's not the best/fastest, similar to Samsung drives I have previously purchased in other machines, however, for the price its a logical choice. No instructions, but since I've set up SSD drives before it was no big deal. No cloning software is included, nor downloadable from Sandisk. Have to use someone else's software. Search cloning software and you can find "low cost/free personal use cloning software". Other Thoughts: I got this on sale, if not on sale it would of been overpriced. All around a good drive for boot, programs and storage. A fast-loading SSD can cut dozens of seconds off the loading times of games like Battlefield 4, World of Warcraft, etc. An SSD will make installing, booting, dying and reloading in games a faster, smoother process.

The 3 year warranty is second only to Samsung and the performance is not that far off the higher end professional and gaming options. Any system will realize a significant performance boost with this drive. Solid State Drives are hands down the best price/performance value bang for your buck and you won't be disappointed with a SanDisk.

I added this to my new HP Envy 2-in-1 and booting up takes a few seconds. Better battery life and cooler operation.

Fast and reliable SSD. Works great, no issues. Would recommend this to others. My windows 7 computer now flies, and defragging takes seconds, instead of hours.

On sale for 109 bucks, 480 gb and both seq read/write is over 500 mb a sec!!! Purchased for an old mac pro 2010 model. Boot time went from 3 minutes to just 30 seconds.

Picked this SSD drive up and installed in desktop computer. Installed Windows 10 and boots system in less than 10 seconds flat! Outstanding performance!

Picked this drive up on the deal of the day, for $129, then the next week it dropped to $99, I called Best buy and they price matched it! The drive has been great. I wanted to to spruce up my older MSI P67 board with a overclocked 2600K Proc, a 690GTX video card, and add this drive so I could put Win 10 on it. I used my old Win7 Ultimate key and got Win 10 Pro for free so its been a win all around. This old board only has 2 native 6gb sata ports. I have 1 sata port with an older Corsair 480gbSSD with windows 8.1 and now have this Sandisk Ultra II on the other for a dual boot setup. Read/writes are around 450/410 using HD Tune utility on this old board, maybe newer boards can achieve the higher Read/Write they say this drive will do. Still it boots super quick couldn't be happier. This $99 upgrade gave my older computer new life, I'm still playing all my new games at highest levels, don't need to upgrade for awhile. This drive is plenty big for 5-10 games depending on size and for windows to operate.

Best/fastest drive install & clone experience I've had. Backed up previous 120GB SSD using Windows 10's built-in drive image backup. Then plugged in new SSD to mobo and used Macrium Reflect to clone on SSD partitions onto new drive. Finally, shutdown, removed old SSD, mounted new SSD where old one used to be, and booted up. Used Windows 10 Disk Management to resize main partition to use all available space. Running 2 months, no issues, still super fast and lots more space. Desktop computer install: Core i5 Ivy Bridge, z77, Win10, GPT & UEFI boot.

Got this during Black Friday sale, upgraded the main hard drive from hdd to ssd, wow what a difference in loading speed. There's no heat and no noise from the drive at all, easy installation. Depending on your version of Windows and how u configured things, setting up the OS swap might take some time because chances are your main hdd drive is bigger than 480gb, so that makes cloning a bit more complicated. But eventually figured it out, just took a few days to get it right. Great drive for the money ,cant complain
