Excellent performance improvement. FAST boot load! Over 100% data transfer rate increase. Used usb3 adapter and software package from BB. I always replace my mechanical HDDs after a few years of daily use. The newer drive technology would give a small performance boost.... this is exceptional.

I bought this drive to put in my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro. I had a 250gb SSD in it but was running out of room. I have plenty of room for now. Works very well and to be honest it boots up a little faster than the Samsung it replaced. I got it at a good price it went in easily and quickly.

The Best Buy Geek Squad got me addicted to speed when they installed an SSD in my ancient laptop. I became obsessed with speed and have now upgraded all my computers to the SanDisk SSD Ultra II. The Sandisk Ultra II is an unbeatable value and performs as well as any other brand.

Installed this bad boy into my 2012 MP and it runs like a charm. Boot up time is minimal and runs almost like new. I do a lot of matlab computing and my machine now destroys my much newer windows desktop at work!

if you are looking to increase the system of your computer at an affordable cost, and you have a traditional spinning hard disk, this is an efficient way to speed up system. i used this SSD to increase the speed of my MacMini and now it boots and performs way faster.

Got it on sale. Easy to install and upgrade using the Apricorn Data Transfer Cable (also from Best Buy). My laptop now boots up a lot faster, applications launch faster, and my battery lasts longer. I can put off buying a new laptop for another year or two :-)

I used this drive to breath new life into an 8 year old laptop whose original hard drive was about to take a dump. I was able to clone the drive to the SSD, remove the old drive and pop this one in. Windows 10 boots up in about 15 seconds! Amazing!!!!!

Decided to keep the 256 and swapped the 480 for the 960 and take out the spiinning 1Tb secondary drive! Battery life improved and performance! This was done in my MSI GT72S gaming laptop

Wow! Thats all I can really say! The speed is awesome! The low energy consumption is very beneficial.They're quiet as heck but this thing is stealth silent. My boot up time is now halved. I wish I thought about upgrading my laptop much sooner.

It was easy to install and use out of the box. I replaced it for a non functioning sata hard drive. It was fast booting up and shutting down. So far, it shows no sign of problems.

This is everything I could want in a SSD (except maybe free :) ). I can't believe I waited this long to go with an SSD. It has made a HUGE difference. Boot time is so fast it doesn't seem like it boots up anymore but just turns on. It's silent and cool (yes, as you should expect with a SSD). Simply put, the computer seems like a completely new machine. This specific SanDisk drive was highly rated and I've had zero problems with it. I'm very happy with it, glad I didn't go with a cut-rate one, and I definitely recommend it.

These drives are (1) extremely fast (2) simple to install, just like a normal HDD, if you've had to deal with NAND you know what I mean (3) come with SSD utility, unlike some brands (4) VERY reliable, unlike other "premium" SSD manufacturers I haven't had a single SanDIsk fail...to my clients benefit!

Wanted to try SSD, this 480 gig unit was reasonably priced and had good reviews. Glad I did - I love it. Since this is my first ssd, I can't compare to other manufacturers. However, my SanDisk flash drives are all great, so I felt comfortable with the brand. I use what used to be called "mobile trays" for my SATA drives, and the ssd slides right in without the need for a 3.5" carrier tray (which I bought). Used minitool to copy my hard drive to ssd. Boot up is wonderful - probably 5 times faster, both Windows 10 and Slackware Linux. Was concerned about constant read/write activity of Windows, but it seems like ssd these days have a pretty long life. Still, I backup to the original hard drive, just in case.

The SanDisk - Ultra II 480GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive was my first choice for my computer build. I use it for my main drive (programs and new Apps only) while using a mechanical 1 terabyte drive for data I create or save. The SATA III interface provides the fastest data transfer rate which means my computer boots up really fast on my Windows 8.1 PRO OS ! !

Was easy to clone the drive on my computer, and then install. Cut my boot time from 1 minute 40 second to 38 second. My computer is 4 years old and the SSD doesn't use as much power so the battery life is improved.

This SSD has brought new life to my desktop computer. My desktop is about 4 years old, but with this new SSD it performs like a champ!!! I'm still running windows 7 and it boots up in about 6 seconds.

Hi, I recently upgrade my hard drive on my system, and I'll try to explain this simple... First of all access time are blasting fast and booting my computer takes almost half the time or less, not to mention that every time you open a program or application takes no time... On the past the best upgrade for your computer was the RAM, and believe me, still the best if you are running multiple programs at the same time or very heavy applications, but if you are not, the best is an SSD drive, overall is going to improve your experience and waiting time... The product... Sandisk is a very reputable brand that balance price and quality of their products, I never had a problem with this drives...
