This is a 7mm thick drive with a plastic plate to expand it to 9mm (which was the previous thickeness of laptop drives). Utlrabooks these days may have a SATA drive or an M2 drive. The best way to know if it will work is to google your model number of computer with the words "installing an ssd drive in ....." Then you will hopefully find instructions and video on how to do this in your computer. Another way to find out if it will fit in your computer is to go to Windows - Control Panel - Device Manager. Look for the model number of your Disk Drive you have installed. Google your existing drives model number. You will be able to tell if it's a SATA drive. Then this drive should fit. I use Acronis to copy my old drives to a new drive when using Windows. I use SuperDuper on the mac to clone. I clone by keeping the new SSD connected via a USB cable to SATA adapter and clone it. once it's done succesfully i will swap the drives out. On the mac, i use the same method but once it's cloned i will then hold down the command key during a boot and boot from the external SSD drive to ensure the cloning worked. After that I'll swap the drive out.
