Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but there are some catches. For one, the iMac is a real pain to disassemble. The SSD is physically smaller, so you'd need an adapter to hold it in there securely. Depending upon the specific model of iMac, you might need to purchase a special adapter that tells the computer the temperature or the cooling fan will run full speed all the time and make a ton of noise. You can use a free utility called SuperDuper to copy the information or you can boot off a startup disk and use Time Machine to restore everything, assuming that you have it all backed up. SuperDuper is the way that I would go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most definitely. You will need to create an image of your existing HD or just install OSX or higher from scratch
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What model iMac? The short answer is YES it'll work in a 2010 or newer iMac; you may need to download and install the free SSD Fan Control utility (Google it) to keep the fans from running at full speed since it's not a "Apple Certified" drive but it will work. I have one in my 2011 iMac.
