• It will work. Same connections. There is mounting hardware available to adapt the smaller SSD drive into the space originally fitted for a desktop HDD.

• It should be fine--compatibility/connections are very high these days for all of these HD's and SSD's. I used 2 smaller PNY 240Gb drives as C-drives (operating system Win7) in two different computers--an old-ish Sony VAIO and custom built tower computer and they are AWESOME!
