• With the amount of usage you described easily over 10 years but keep in mind anything electronic or mechanical is prone to failure over it's lifetime so make sure to always keep a backup.

• SSD 's will out last a regular Hard drive! SSD are measured in memory usage rather then motor life span

• Mine lived for exactly 24 days before it experienced complete physical failure. Their RMA process has taken an additional 14 days.

• For those uses, it'll last as long as most of the other components of your PC. Save yourself some cash too and go with a smaller drive; 480GB is overkill for what you are describing. Just keep in mind that SSDs shouldn't be securely wiped (multi-pass deletes, etc) that often - it places far more strain on them than standard HDDs.
