“This sd card won't mount on my samsung galaxy note 3 I tried to mount sd card on Note 3. It won't format. I turned the phone off with the sd card inserted and turned the phone on and then inserted card. Is this card suppose to work in Galaxy Note 3? Any ideas?”

I don't know for sure but it works fine in my Note 4.

I saw several posts on various forums where people have indicated that they are using similar cards in their N3 devices without any trouble. They didn't indicate the exact model of their SD card, but did mention that they were SanDisk brand. Perhaps your card is defective. If you have a smaller capacity card, try that in the device just to be sure it's not a problem with your N3. Good luck!
