“Can the mount be off-center? My TV needs to be placed in a specific spot on the wall but the center of the spot is directly between 2 studs, so I have a stud 8 inches left or right of center. Can the mount be placed there and the TV still be on center?”

Hi Steve, This is a single-stud full-motion mount, so it needs to be installed centered on one wall stud and it does not have a horizontal shift feature. You can angle and extend the arm to help visually center the TV when it’s pulled out, but when the mount is pushed back toward the wall, the TV will line up with the stud location. With your ideal center point 8" away from the stud, this mount won’t be able to keep the TV perfectly centered in both the flat and extended positions. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, mine is installed between 2 studs. I used the templet to cut a piece of wood to place on the wall to install the mount to. The wood gives the wall extra strength to hold the mount without the studs.
