Hi Rareburto, No — this mount cannot span three studs at 16" on-center (which would be about 32" between the outer studs). The wall plate is designed to attach into a maximum stud spacing of approximately 24" on-center, so it won’t reach three studs spaced at 16". Thanks, SANUS Support

The mount is primarily designed to attach to two studs, but the wall plate is wide enough to allow some flexibility depending on stud placement. In most standard installations you’ll secure it into two studs at 16” spacing which provides plenty of support for TVs within the weight rating.
