“We want to hang a tv in the corner but the studs will not be centered. Can we have an off center mount? Would there be any issues?”

There shouldn't be that much of an issue. The TV obviously has to fit in that corner. Other than that, ensure using a studfinder that your bolts are definitely going in the stud.
