“My wall above the fireplace has a 39W" x 35H" opening (recessed area of cubby). This wall mount is wider than the opening (52.9"W vs 39"W). Can I install it across the 39" W opening? What is the max distance between the 2 screws for the wall mount?”

We would not recommend mounting it across the opening. According to the Install Manual there needs to be 6 bolts installed into the wall plate, including 2 in the middle where the opening would be. Thanks, Nate @ SANUS
