“Hi I am looking for a full motion mount for a 65 inch Sony tv model XBR65A9F. I would like to recess the bracket in the wall as far as needed to have the tv lie flush on the wall (not recessed) Can this be done? Thank you”

Hi, Thanks for the question. This mount is compatible with your specific TV model. When recessed, the mount sits 2.86" from the wall. The wall plate will need to be attached to either wood studs or concrete. As long as this can be accomplished in the installation, the TV should be mounted securely. - Katie @SANUS
