To be absolutely sure, I would measure the wall mount bolt holes on the back of your tv and then compare those width measurements with the specs on the wall mount package. The package includes an assortment of bolts for the different sized bolt holes on the back of your tv. As to installing outside, just make sure that it is free from the weather elements (rain) and that it is attached to real wood (no particle boards). You will have to figure out things like birds, squirrels enjoying your wall mount....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This mount is probably, "Overkill" for a 50 inch. sanus makes one for that size t.v. Outside will affect it eventually if it gets damp. Just keep it well lubricated at all pivot points with an all purpose oil
