Good Day! Great question. There is a silver locking lever on the bottom of the arm plate that connects to the wall plate. You can slide it to the "open" position and move the arm left and right. Once you have it in place, simply lock the lever and you are good to go. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks! Jake @ SANUS
