Good Day, Yes, actually! There are tension screws on the arm that can be adjusted to improve smoothness of motion. This information is in the manual, but give us a ring @ 800-359-5520 if you need any more help. Thanks! Jake @ SANUS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This mount has a smooth fluid like motion when moving. There is no tension adjustment, just a set screw that prevents it from tilting once you've set where you like it. I can't compare to the display model as I haven't seen it on display.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just mounted the 228 yesterday, and it is indeed stiff when moving the TV in and out. There are NO ADJUSTMENTS IN THE MANUAL for loosening it as stated by someone else.. I oiled the joints with light weight lock oil and it moved a little easier but not as easy as I want. I’m hoping it will loosen with time. Other than that this mount it strong and I feel it was right purchase. It holds the TV well in any position and bringing it all the way out for letterboxed movies makes a big difference in viewing enjoyment, then back against the wall for full screen stuff. Just what I was looking for.
