Do the soundbar get screwed under the TV null

I mounted my TV above the fireplace and set the speaker bar on the mantle. I chose not to attach speaker to mounting frame. Geek squad installer did a great job. I could have had the speaker bar attached to mounting frame with L shaped brackets.
