A:AnswerNo, I think this is best for a flat surface. I would definitely recommend having the geek squad installers because the TV screens are so delicate
A:AnswerWe were worried about this same issue.....how high do we mount the thing. The installers that came solved the problem in nothing flat. One of our installers is right at 6' tall. He said he has been installing right about his eye level and has had no complaints at all. Both my husband and I are only 5'6" tall, and we sit in recliners, approximately 10 to 12 feet away from the screen. The bottom of our TV is 36" from the floor. Our TV is a 75" Samsung.....and for us, it is perfect. I would suggest you try that height and see what you think. If you aren't ready to put holes in your wall yet to mount the tv, try putting up a piece of cardboard with a picture on it at the 36" level. Be sure to use cardboard that is the size of your tv and see what you think of the viewing position.
A:AnswerBest I remember this particular mount was only rated for up to 65-70” tv. But they did make one for larger tv’s. And yes I would recommend this brand. Q
A:AnswerMost of your local Home Depot, Lowes, or other hardware stores sell a variety of anchors that work well without having the benefit of a stud. Be aware, the weight of your TV is important to know when choosing different wall anchor systems. This YouTube is an illustration of one type of anchor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpycNAuKuhU

A:AnswerI'd have to refer you to the specs 42"- 90" as I don't have a 49" television and wouldn't be able to confirm if in fact it'll support your actual tv.
A:AnswerPersonally, I think it would suit your situation well. It would take a lot of tinkering but in the end I feel it would satisfy your needs. It's very versatile and pretty much has maneuverability in all directions. For example, you could have one side of the mount totally extended and you'll receive approximately, (and this is a guesstimate, no protractor involved) a 35° angle. It's amazing what this mount is able to do.
A:AnswerYES. I'm using it on my LG OLED65E7P mounted above my fireplace. This replaced a 55" Panasonic Plasma. I was concerned at first about how low the mounting holes are on the LG compared to the Panny. But it works perfectly. Just needed to mount the wall bracket 6" lower on the wall. No problems at all.
