A:AnswerThis mount is fixed. Spacers are provided to allow a small amount of adjustment between the mount frame and TV. No adjustments are available after mounting, except for leveling adjustment.

A:AnswerSO the mounting bracket will just cover the 16 inches to mount however the sliding distance from side to side from center is only about 6 inches. You will want to get it mounted near the center give or take 6-8 inches to be centered. There are mounts that are oversized that will cover length up to studs 24 inches part but i have never seen one over 24" long. If your studs are 16" apart which is the normal distance mounting to center of wall shouldn't be an issue with this mount. (If your center stud is 16inches from the next then you will only need to slide the tv a few inches to the left or right to center on your wall?)
