A: Yes, I used it to mount my TCL 98" and could raise it up or down. I only used one set of the bracket extensions that mount to the back of the TV.

A: Yes. Was used to mount ours.
Q: What is the maximum length the back plate can be extended?
A: No extension at all.
A: Should be fine, this mount comes with extension plates to allow to expand for larger vesa patterns that I’ve ever dealt with.
