This mount allows lateral shift adjustment, allowing the TV to slide left and right on the wall plate so it’s positioned exactly where you want it, even with off-center wall studs. Wall plate mounting holes are designed to accommodate 16" or 24" studs.

A: Hi Louis, This is a fixed-position mount, so it does not extend outward from the wall. When installed, the TV sits about 1.96 inches from the wall. It does include quick-release straps, which allow you to temporarily pull the TV away from the wall to help access cables behind it, but it is not designed to extend or lock out at a greater distance.
