After you pull the TV out to full extension of the Sanus, you can you simply push the full Sanus stand far enough left or right increasing the angled corner of the TV to the distance you need. The Sanus rotates much like your arm except the elbow also rotates fully left or right. Then the nuckle section gives another additional rotation as does the wall joint and the TV brace joint. The Sanus has 5 separate movable joints that can move independently of each other giving you more options than you will probably ever use. There's much more, however, I hope this answer helps in reference to your particular question. I've yet to see a TV mount come close to the freedom, distance, and multiple angles with such ease and stability as the Sanus!
