I called the Sanus customer/technical service line about this and they told me there was no way to ease this tension, or stiffness, in the arms. They said that tension or stiffness might loosen over time with repeat movement, but I feel like I'm going to snap my 65" TV in half every time I pull it away from the wall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good Day, On the top of each joint in the arm there are tension screws you can loosen to allow the TV to move more smoothly. Please let us know if there is anything else you need. Thanks! Jake @ SANUS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello. I too was searching for this. Then i decided to have a look myself and there are 4 grub screws on the middle hinges that i just loosened off and that has not cured the stiffness completely but has made it a lot looser. To see the grub screws you need to have the mount extended quite a way. You will need a small allen key to do this. 1.5mm i believe. Hope this helps! I included a picture, look at these places when the mount is extended and you will see the grab screws.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We had our 70" attached to this mount for years. (2-story wall of west facing windows required constant adjustment) Moved it all the time with no issues. Yes it is a little tight, I grabbed the tv by top/bottom and pulled/pushed gently. TV would flex a little but slow/gentle pull/push would always get it moving. Loved how sturdy and precise this mount feels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.hey surfer916, all I can recommend is pull from THE ATTACHMENT PLATE not from the TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm having the same problem, Sanus website does not provide any information on how to loosen the tension. I feel like I'm going to break my tv when adjusting it.
