• I think I'd make it work by mounting solidly to stud in/near center, and adding drywall anchors toward both ends.

• Hello, You will need to use this mount on two studs. If you are looking for post install lateral shift to get this centered, take a look at our BLF228 instead. This will give you extra room to get the TV centered. Kathryn @SANUS
