Hey metalstudsguy, This mount is not recommend to installed into metal studs. We don't recommend installing full motion mounts into metal studs because the toggles have a hard time holding up with the swivel of the mount. I would recommend a tilt or fixed mount for steel stud install. Thanks, - Haydn @ SANUS
