• Not really, just use concrete bolts

• Hello, We recommend mounting directly onto the concrete. You can see in our installation manual the directions for this application. Minimum concrete thickness is 8" and concrete blocks must be 8"x8"x16". Feel free to call us at 800-359-5520 if you have any other questions! Kathryn @SANUS
