Yes, my stud distance is 14”. Since the range is 16 or 24, I wasn’t sure if that’s just to match typical stud distances or if there’s an actual reason for a minimum of 16”.

According to the instruction manual, the horizontal space between studs for this mount must be a minimum of 16 inches.
