“With a 55 inch TV how much space can we get from the bottom of the TV to the Base (or surface the stand sits on)?”

• It depends on how you mount it on the TV. It's intended to allow a sound bar below the TV on the stand. Mine is currently at 5 and a half inches from the TV bottom to the base.
