I was able to install my 55" LG on the stand, and only leave a 1" gap between the TV and stand-base. I think you will be fine, since there are several height adjustment options. The base is very low profile height wise. It sounds like you have a tight spot for your TV, so you should be fine, if you have a couple inches to spare on each side on the TV.
