I wouldn't use the hardware supplied on metal studs. You can pick up new hardware that will work for metal for just a few bucks. They only supply wood screws and masonry hardware if I remember right.

Please call our Customer Service at 1-800-359-5520 and we will ship you out the appropriate hardware. Thanks again, Michael with the SANUS Care Team
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Steel studs do not have any pull-through strength. I would NOT rely on the steel studs to hold up a TV with just regular screws. Consider using molly anchors in the studs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can mount to metal studs. The important question is, do you know what thickness your studs are? In earthquake country, any stud 20 gauge or thinner, will typically be supplemented with 16 gauge backing plate(s) to support and hold items mounted to the wall. But you are not in earthquake country so it may be fine. If you don't know how thick the studs are, you can always install a couple toggle bolts through the drywall or plaster as a secondary support.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes!! It doesn't matter really. My wall has the same. Yet I didn't fixed it on the stud at all. I went straight to the hollow wall by using the thick butterfly and long screw and it will hold even a 55 inch tv. My is an old 40 inch tv which are heavy. Didn't even screwed it to the studs.
