Yes that is exactly what I did, added 2 TB Western Digital to the Hub very easy to install. Works great, now my Time Machine backs up to the Hub. Excellent Product

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can, however, I believe only one drive at a time can be used for Time Machine. Meaning, you will have to format the SSD with APFS via Disk Utility in Mac OS, remove the Seagate external from Time Machine, and then add the new SSD as the NEW backup destination.
