• Absolutely thats what i upgraded from to a new MiniMac M4 so this thing invaluable. As it allowed me to drop in a 1 terabyte SSD drive as backup and i purchased a ultrafast 256 gig Thumb drive to move saved file to Thumb drive from old MiniMac to than upload to new mac. So this saves you some 400 dollars for a 512 GB SSD that apple wants.
