• Yes, I use this hub with my M2 Mac Mini. There is a cheaper hub that doesn't have any SSD or NVME enclosure.

• Yes, I have this exact model, used w/a 2023 M2 Pro MacMini which I bought for ~$99, and they do make a different model (w/o the M.2 SSD bay) for around ~$75, I believe.
