We just purchased this bike and really like it. Although ours is in our shop on a cement floor, the operation is quiet and it seems very stable. I wouldn't think you would hear it on a floor below. You might purchase a rubber mat or rug to go under it just in case.

We just purchased this a week ago. Very quiet. Other than an occasional pacing beep, I do not notice my wife riding the bike while being in the other room. I do not even know she is on it.

No its pretty quiet. I luv this bike. I also purchased a nice cycle mat that helps stability and absorb vibration.
