A:AnswerIt is in a large box. You will need to assemble it. The main base is already assembled. You assemble the seat and peddles and handles etc. I just finished my assembly. I am over 60 years and it took me the best part of 2 hrs by myself. I took my time. The bolts are in a numbered wrapped shrink wrapped board. It has the tools except you may want a pair of scissors and box cutter - Instructions are mainly pictures but you really do not need much.
A:AnswerThe Schwinn 270 recumbent exercise bike has more resistance levels, programs, and user files over the 230 model. It also has a thicker padded seat and a backlit screen. Additionally, the 270 gives a better clearance when riding.
A:AnswerHey Danno - The 270 recumbent seat can slide forward and backwards, but the angle of the seat back cannot be changed. We hope this helps! - Schwinn Fitness Team
A:AnswerThe dimensions of the Schwinn 270 Recumbent Bike are approximately 66" long, 26" wide (with cup holder attached) and the height is 48" (to the top of the electronic console). Weight of the bike is 86.6lbs. Weight limitations is 300 lbs. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIt has a handle on the back and wheels on the front, so you would only need to lift up the back and push it (or pull) instead of picking the whole thing up off the ground to move it. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to discover how easy it was to roll into place in our basement. However, it would be a little harder to roll on a high pile carpet so you probably wouldn’t want to move it very often.
A:AnswerIt has base bars and it will not likely shift or slide. You can get a mat if you are concerned about a marble of tile floor . I have a mat for the carpet but it was not required -
A:AnswerProbably not. My bike came with an app recommendation, but it doesn’t work, I can’t even get it to download. So the Bluetooth doesn’t work. It’s my only complaint with the bike.
A:AnswerThis bike would be easy for an elderly person to use as long as they can get up from a low position. As far as delivery, yes....it can be delivered by Best Buy but not sure about assembly. If possible, I would recommend getting it assembled through them or another service. Although the instructions were easy to follow, it is an 8 on the difficulty scale in my opinion.
A:AnswerHi! Thanks for reaching out! We are sorry, there is no option to change the length of the pedal bar. We wish you all the best on your fast recovery. -Schwinn Team
A:AnswerI haven’t seen any of the issues that have been posted as negative. Either they have been corrected or, as you know, some folks make negative where it really doesn’t exist.
A:AnswerMy husband and I are in our 70s. We were able to put our Schwinn exercise bike together. He did most of it! It came with minimal instructions. However, we searched on YouTube and found some great demos. We also found instructions on how to use all of the buttons on the bike. Who says you can’t teach old dogs new tricks! Good luck, and enjoy the smooth ride.
A:AnswerUPDATE: Soon after I posted my question above, I bought a replacement power cord for my Schwinn 270 on Amazon.
It worked!... BUT only for a while. Three months later (on 4/02/22), I plugged in the bike and nothing happened. I'd assumed the original power cord that came with the Schwinn was faulty, but clearly something is wrong with the actual bike.
I'm so disappointed and worried that this isn't fixable — that I'm stuck with a non-working bike that i can't sell and out $$$. Any advice/insight would be appreciated.
